Day 1,
I stayed in my bed for a short amount of time this morning which is something I never do however I needed to complete my football bets on the super 6! I then got up , got ready and started my Saturday in the gym just doing a 30 min jog and then a little walk as a cool down. By this point I hadn’t eaten or drank any fluids so I decided to start my daily intake of water.
After leaving the gym, I wasn’t hungry due to binge eating the day prior and so I am trying to become more in tune with my hunger cues and I decided to go look at some properties I’m interested in buying to keep myself focused on future prospects. The house hunting went well and I managed to get my water intake up to 500ml which I usually struggle with. It was 11:30am when I decided I needed my morning oat milk americano from Costa so a little walk around Lichfield and a Costa went down a treat . Still not feeling hungry and not feeling my hunger cues signal to me to eat yet , so I decided to carry on a walk to try and build up some sort of an appetite.
Finally , I started to get my hunger cue so I went to Tesco got myself a porridge pot and a yoghurt and mixed it together , not counting calories , not knowing how many macros but just eating something easy on the go . Oh and I also brought another bottle of water , the fluid intake seems better today and I find that by drinking water regularly you can understand more whether your hungry or your thirsty . As the hormone which triggers our hunger known as Ghrelin also stimulates our thirst and so sometimes you may not be hungry , you may just need some fluids , so one tip I’ve found is to drink regular fluids. So regarding my breakfast , I felt no anxiety eating , I took about 15 minutes to eat my breakfast as I was also answering calls. My satiety after my breakfast was just about right , I felt comfortable and the feeling of hunger had disappeared . I then become bored and the weather seemed nice so I did a little jog nearby prior to the football kicking off . Still no hunger cues indicating any need to eat. I went to a pub whereby I never feel triggered in a pub to binge and I ordered myself a Pepsi Max whilst listening to the Villa vs Wolves match . I have then felt my hunger cues and so I have cooked an omelette with lots of salad to fill me up. At the end of the meal I felt full and I was ready to rest up . To end the day , I felt content however I always like to have something to snack on in bed before I sleep so I mixed a protein yoghurt and fruit together to create my own little snack . This went down a treat .
Day 1 sleep pending , I always worry about going to sleep as it’s a period of time whereby I usually wake out of habit and go downstairs to binge eat . However, I need to realise that once I’m in my bed that is bed time and it is the time to sleep not to eat . So I will see you in day 2 …..
